This past weekend I had the pleasure of helping out with my brother in-law’s fiancée’s bridal shower. I was in charge of the alcohol and had a blast pulling together this do-it-yourself Mimosa Bar. In case you’ve been living under a rock the last two years, Mimosa Bars are incredibly trendy and have been popping up all over Pinterest. It was a huge hit this Saturday and gave the guests an activity to do as they concocted their own unique cocktails catered to their preference.
When selecting juices focus on a citrus selection which pairs nicely with champagne. Fresh fruit as garnish is also a must and adds a nice visual touch. The party was estimated to have 25 to 30 guests so to cut back on costs I stocked up on six bottles of prosecco from Costco totaling to only $7 a bottle. For reference, if you are hosting a party this size four bottles was more than enough to cover all of the drinking since the champagne flute is filled halfway with juice.
The star attraction of this set-up were these adorable diamond drink stirrers I scored at Target. They helped pull together the theme of the day. Target also carries diamond paper straws which would be a great alternative.
For the juice tags and Mimosa Bar instructions, I threw a design together on Photoshop. Feel free to download the attachments here: Mimosa Bar Instructions Printable || Mimosa Bar Juice Tag Printable. Simply download the PDF and print it up on computer paper or card stock and frame it to display by the drinks.
Another happy purchase from this set-up were these juice carafes on Amazon that I found for only $5 a piece. They are very well constructed and feel expensive. I love that I now have a collection of them to use for future events.
I encourage you to try this out the next time you are hosting a shower for your friends. It is incredibly easy to pull together and impressive. If you recreate this, let me know, I would love to see your set-up!
